Kamiko Arai (
Appearance[]
Arai has brown hair worn in a bun and black eyes. She wears a reddish-pink bow that ties her hair back, a beige button-up top over a black shirt, a pink skirt, and red shoes.
History[]
Asked by her employer Karisu to sweep outside, Arai does so and as she's doing this spots the trembling Komi. Immediately, Arai greets her, but Komi tenses up making Arai believe that she wasn't a customer after all, but Karisu recognizes her and allows her in. As Komi is seated in her chair, Arai self-consciously wonders if it was something that she did that made Komi not enter. In the end, Arai believes that it's the simple difference between her as a beginner and a pro. Once Arisu correctly decides what kind of haircut Komi wants, Arai notes her enamor for both Komi and her boss' hair beauty and takes a photo, but is told to return to work thereafter.
Arai then offers Komi some magazines to read as Karisu, but Komi appears to be sleeping, but Karisu points out that she's faking her sleep. Karisu then asks how school is going for her and Komi shyly answers with a mere "F", which Karisu believes to be "Fun" and Arai is left astounded how she's able to communicate with a single word. Tasked with shampooing Komi's hair, Arai tries to talk to Komi in a fast pace manner and when asked how long she's been coming there, Komi points to a magazine with the number 12 on it. Surprised that Komi answered with a magazine rather than vocally communicating it. As Arai shampoos Komi's hair, she anxiously wonders what is wrong with her. When Komi's haircut was finished, Arai checks her out and Komi points to a page on a magazine and leaves. Following her outside, Arai politely thanks her and hopes she returns soon. Back inside the salon, Arai confesses to Karisu that she thought Komi hated her, but in truth, she pointed to a page that said, "Thank you" on it. To Karisu's addition, she claims that some customers simply don't like talking in salons.
Trivia[]
- Her name comes from arai kami ko (洗い髪子?) which translates literally to "hair-washing girl".
