Chiarai Shigeo (地 (ち) 洗 (あら) 井 (い) 茂 (しげ) 夫 (お) , Chiarai Shigeo^?) is a student and former classmate of Komi.

Appearance

Chiarai has a dull orange short and fluffy hair held in at the right by 3 hairpins and a small braided tail on his back and is most often seen wearing the Itan school uniform.

Personality

Chiarai is spontaneous, jolly and friendly as a person, but he can be bold and frivolous at times when it comes to be dating women he might be attracted.

But similar to Sonoda and Shinobino, he can be delusional in terms of having fantasies with their female classmates.

History

Chiarai is friends with Sonoda and Shinobino. The three are most prominently seen in Volume 6 Chapters 75 and 77 where the three discuss which of the girls in class (and Najimi) would be the best to date. They would later found the Delusion Club.

Trivia

• His surname is a pun on チャラい (charai), meaning "(acting) frivolous; flippant" or "flashy (clothes); showy".
• Chiarai is the third member of the Makeru-chan fan club.
