Itan Private High School is an elite prep school located in Japan. It is the primary setting in which Komi San Wa Komyushou Desu series takes place, where the majority of characters attend as students.
The Itan school, being Japanese, covers the 3 upper years of secondary education (Years 11-13) when students are approximately 15 until 18 years old. A compulsory uniform is used at Itan (specifics of which can be found in the Uniforms section), but can be circumvented at special events.
The most notable aspect of the school is that many of the students have strange quirks and characteristics (weirdos, freaks, eccentrics, as seen in Chapter 6) which made it difficult initially for Komi to make friends.

Male
The male uniform of Itan Private High School consists of navy blue blazer (worn on winter), white shirt (sleeve length depends on season), striped red-navy necktie, black pants, and dark brown shoes.
Female
The female uniform of Itan Private High School consists of navy blue blazer (worn on winter), white shirt (sleeve length depends on season), striped red-navy bowtie, striped red-navy skirt (length varies). Legwear varies from no socks at all to full-length tights.
There are exceptions for Najimi Osana which wears male top and female bottom (regular necktie but with skirt), Imotou (Kazuyuki) Ribbon who wears a female bowtie and black shorts, and Seikimatsu Toshio who has his blazer's sleeves ripped.
Trivia[]
On the internet it is often called "Arkham college". which is a reference to Arkham Asylum having students who appear to be mentally ill.
In Chapter 330, it is revealed that Ichou's grandfather was the one who founded this school, much to the shock of many students.
